The road I walk

The road is long.
The road is old.
Step by step my feet take me.
No direction to go but forward.

My head is heavy.
My heart is tired.
I look up to see forever, and
Know this is the road I walk.

You seem really unhappy. This is not good. I'm off to work in ten minutes, but I'll try to think of something helpful by tomorrow.

Did you see my post, or did you chance to post a poem with the idea of direction in it at about the same time as I did? That would be an interesting coincidence, and I'm always on the lookout for those.

Jeanne,

I'm not one to usually write poetry. This is the image and words that came to my head for the past two weeks and I finally put them down on paper, and blog.

There is more to what is here but not written out.

I went to Elton. Last night. He was amazing. I can't even describe. I'm still in shock. I cried through the first and last songs. More later.
